Hearing Loss and Deafness

About Hearing Loss

Each year in the UK, between 1 and 4 per thousand children are identified as having permanent childhood hearing loss.

Evidence shows that, along with early identification, timely interventions, such as hearing technology (hearing aids/ cochlear implants) and support from a Teacher for Deaf Children and Young People (ToD) are extremely important for long-term positive outcomes for the child and their family.

Our Family Information Pack (which you can find in this section) provides information that you may find helpful.
