Auditory Processing Disorder

Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) 


Berkshire Sensory Consortium Service does not make provision to support children and young people (CYP) with APD because this is not a diagnosis of deafness/hearing impairment that meets the criteria for deaf children. We do not provide equipment for CYP with APD although we can signpost schools to providers from where the equipment can be purchased.


A Qualified Teacher of the Deaf from Berkshire Sensory Consortium Service may be purchased by agreement with the school to provide a training session for school staff to gain confidence in managing equipment that they have purchased for use of the pupil with APD.
