Jane joined the Berkshire Sensory Consortium Service in 1992 as a Teacher of the Deaf. Before becoming Head of Service in January 2018 she worked within the Service as a Deaf/Hearing Loss Team Leader and as the Service Development Coordinator. Jane leads the Early Years and Deafness postgraduate course through Hertfordshire University and is a lecturer on the Teacher of the Deaf Mandatory Qualification.

Gail joined the Berkshire Sensory Consortium Service in 2006 after teaching in mainstream primary schools for 12 years. She completed the mandatory training to become a qualified Teacher of the Deaf in 2008 and went on to complete a Masters in Education (hearing impairment). She became the Team Leader for the Teachers of the Deaf in September 2019.
Team Leader- Teachers of the Vision Impaired

Jean Joined the service in 2014. She began working with children with a vision impairment in 1991, in a school for children with multi-disabilities and vision impairment. Whilst working at this school she gained a BPhil in Vision Impairment. As a VI teacher Jean has worked in England, Sierra Leone and Indonesia. Before returning to England, she completed her Masters (Special Education) and an Advanced Diploma in Dyslexia and Literacy. She became our Vision Impairment Co-ordinator in September 2021.
Educational Audiologist

Lisa has been a Teacher of the Deaf for 25 years. She completed a Masters degree in Educational Audiology in 2004. She worked for many years at Mary Hare School for the Deaf as a Maths teacher and Educational Audiologist. In 2013 she joined the Berkshire Sensory Consortium Service and is the Educational Audiologist for the Service. Lisa leads two Modules (Educational Audiology in Context and Family Friendly Multi-Agency Working) on the University of Hertfordshire/Mary Hare MSc (Educational Audiology) She is a member of the UK Assistive Listening Technology Working Group.
