How we work out the level of support a child will need
To determine the level of support a child will need, BSCS uses the National Sensory Impairment Partnership (NatSIP) Eligibility Framework for Scoring Support Levels.
This is a tool for Sensory Services to use to guide decision-making over support allocation for individual children and young people with deafness/hearing loss, vision impairment and multi-sensory impairment through a systematic consideration of a wide range of relevant factors. This is then linked to the Service Teaching and Advisory visit packages for our pupils.
