Deaf Awareness Week 2024

It was a privilege to be a judge of the entries to our recent Deaf Awareness competition. There were some lovely designs and we wanted to share some of the entries. The different posters reflected how many of you have combined your interests and passions to make your hearing aid part of your identity. Many have been bold, bright and beautiful others have been pastels and delicate.

We have been inspired by how much creativity you have all shown and we believe the young people we support can empower and inspire other deaf children and young people to celebrate their deaf identity and feel confident with their deafness.

We are delighted to share some of our favourite entries with you.

And whilst we loved looking at all the entries all competitions must have winners and we are delighted to announce the worthy winners of our Deaf Awareness week 2024.

Barney won the hearing aid competition with his fabulous design that we all loved. It showed how he took his passion for football and made his hearing aid distinctive and individual.

Charlotte won the cochlear implant poster competition. Her stunning design showed her passion for the Harry Potter books and made her cochlear implant distinctive and individual. We were so impressed by the detail in her design. Congratulations Charlotte you too are AMAZING!
